Surprise surprise we were all up early and on our way
towards Tampa, home to Busch Gardens, where we arrived at about 09:00. We
actually had to wait a little while as the park didn’t open until 09:30.
This place was a shock for Danny, Corrie and Sean who had
all thought that Steph had wanted to go here as she really likes gardens; none
of us 3 realised it was a huge theme park/ zoo!
This park had a lot to offer though we decided that we’d
firstly try and bosh out all of the rides before checking out any of the
animally things. There are lots of good rides here too; the first of which was
quite unrelenting as it was an old wooden coaster that took no prisoners – you got
on, it hammered you around the rickety track, and then you got off. They were
all good but some of the best were: Cheetah Hunt, Montu, and Kumba. By the end
of all these coasters Steph’s head was pounding and needed a rest which was
just as well as all that was left to do was the tame things.
We took the train around the park and we also travelled the
Skyride across it. We saw lots of animals as well throughout the day and were
all impressed with how easy it had been to see and do it all. The queues weren’t
even that bad here to say it’s a great place to visit.
On the way back to drop Sean and Steph off we stopped for
tea at Subway to put an end to Steph’s cravings!
