Day 146 - The Far End of the Strip

We were lazy again today and slept in until about midday! After this we continued ploughing through the thousands of photos and seemingly endless blog writing until about 14:30. After this we ventured out into the searing desert heat and caught the strip’s bus service along to the Luxor hotel and casino.

Inside we claimed our discount tickets we’d purchased yesterday and entered the Titanic exhibition. This was a nice exhibition though we both left feeling slightly depressed due to the feel and artefacts etc of the displays!

After a light lunch we were back on the strip and starting our walk back down to the hotel but pausing all the while to window shop and take photos. We also made a stop in the Coca-Cola shop and then the M&M’s store; again just to look though.

Due to Danny’s ever increasing desire to go to the cinema Corrie finally buckled and we paid a visit to the picture house behind the Hard Rock CafĂ©. Here we purchased tickets to watch The Avengers along with a bucket (seriously – a bucket) of buttered popcorn and an obscenely large, refillable mega cup of coke. During the film Corrie made short work of both these purchases, though nipped out half way through the showing to refill the soda! Twas a good film btw.

It was quite late by the time we were back at the hotel and so we called it a day.
