Day 152 - SeaWorld

Danny just about survived the night and hauled himself out of bed to drive over to pick up the two newcomers. From here we drove to Downtown Disney where we had to meet a Virgin rep and get some tickets and info about some of the things we’d got booked.

At SeaWorld Danny decided that he might as well give it a go and if things got too bad he could always drive home then pick the others up later. After all, what better for: food poisoning, lack of sleep and dehydration than a full day in baking Florida heat at an amusement park!

We had a good day here and covered the vast majority of the park and its attractions. We saw most of the shows; all of which were impressive due to the well trained animals. We managed to see the killer whale show at the Shamu Stadium; people in the front rows got very wet here. Danny was ok too and only opted out of The Manta rollercoaster that Corrie and Steph went on. Sean decided to keep Danny company whilst the other two were on the ride, though his newly forming fear of rollercoasters was soon to be intensified!

A full day in the heat, along with not much drinking or sun cream had taken its toll on Sean who crashed into his bed as soon as we reached his and Steph’s hotel room. This left us two and Steph to venture out in search of tea. We found a very nice steak place where Danny even got some food as he could now finally keep things down!

Back at Sean and Steph’s room we made plans for tomorrow morning and then decided to leave to get an early…ish night. In this short space of time the heavens had opened and a tremendous tropical storm was raging outside. We sprinted to the car which was just metres away and we both now looked as though we’d jumped into a swimming pool. The rain was coming down in a constant wave and Danny couldn’t see more than a metre or two in front of the car with the wipers on full speed so we ran back to the room where we waited for the rain to ease up. Poor Sean seemed clueless as to what on earth was happening and still remained bed bound from when we’d last seen him.

The rain eventually lessened and the two of us got back to our motel for the night where we both could dream of sunny skies for tomorrow.
