Day 169 - A Day in Charleston

We awoke to clear skies and high temperatures for the first time in a while and so we could finally do as we’d planned. We set off and shortly arrived in the historic town of Charleston where we parked up and set off to explore the town on foot. The weather was gorgeous and so we made our way to the water’s edge where Corrie quickly spotted a couple of dolphins playing around. We then strolled around the town, taking in the sights of this pleasant little place until we eventually set about sunbathing in a grassy area by the university. This soon became too much due to the scorching heat and so we found our way back to the car and went back to the motel where we continued our sunbathing session by the pool.

Watching the weather forecast it would now appear that the threat has changed from thunderstorms and tornados to intense heat warnings and record high temperatures!
