Day 69 - A Wet and Windy Goblin Forest

Today saw a dramatic change in the weather and seeing as Paul was at work, this was seen as a good opportunity for Danny to visit the doctors in an attempt to cure his nocturnal back pain. The first visit didn’t take long and so Judy, Danny and Corrie had time to venture out to Dawson Falls and the site of the Goblin Forest, where we had a very wet walk to the falls themselves. We soon made our way back to the car and then back to the house where we could dry off for a bit. Then it was time for Danny to nip to the hospital for a quick set of x-rays before heading back so tea could be prepared – lasagne.

When Paul returned home we had this lovely meal and then settled down, with the fire burning away some old storm victim tree logs, to play Scrabble as the rain and wind battered the house from all angles. Amazingly Danny came out on top, even though this was only his second attempt at playing the game, and the others put this down to beginners luck… and perhaps an over-use of the dictionary!
