We had to be up fairly early today as we were checking out
of our budget accommodation and moving into our last Aussie hostel, and old
friend, Wake Up!
As it was the last day and we’d done almost everything we’d
set out to do in Sydney we decided to have a bit of a Groundhog Day. This
started with us heading across to Wendy’s for lunch; lunch being a large
milkshake each and a hot dog for Danny.
We then went back to the hostel for a little bit; really
just to do our 2nd wash of clothes on the trip using a real washing
machine, then dryer. This 2nd wash was mainly done as our bags had
started to give off an unnaturally foul set of smells.
Next was a walk in the sunshine to the Royal Botanical
Gardens where we relaxed for a while, until we finally decided to go for some
tea.
We chose the Thai place at Corrie’s request and Danny was
not going to argue with that… because the Thai place has great food that is!
After tea we made our way back to the hostel where we made
quite a lot of phone calls and packed our things for tomorrow’s flight… to NEW
ZEALAND!
