As we’re to be in Melbourne for quite a few days we thought we’d
take it easy again and so slowly pottered around town during the morning;
managing to find a place where we could get a thickshake, good, though far
inferior to a Wendy’s one!
Then we made our way over the river and along its edge a
short way before stopping at a bench to read our books for a good couple of
hours in the sun. Even though there was quite a breeze, there were no
complaints from Corrie, although this probably had something to do with the
constant stream of male crewed rowing teams going up and down the river!
We then moved on to the botanical gardens of Melbourne which
entertained us for a while before our tummies began to rumble. We had tea at a
Thai/ Chinese restaurant before going to Woolworths to get a birthday cake for
Corrie’s big day tomorrow.
A quiet day really but a nice, relaxing, and care-free one.
