We both started the day with some time in the sun, reading
away the hours until the dogs arrived. Rosie and Lilly were dropped off at
about 11:00 as D & A are to look after them for the next few days. Rosie is
a very laid back and care free dog whereas Lilly is a young, mentally disturbed
little thing. Lilly doesn’t appear to like men very much and is either very
protective of Rosie or jealous of others paying the older dog more attention… or
both. Therefore the rest of the day’s successful planning was interspersed with
the odd barking session from the deranged dog.
Continuing their ability to cater for our every need Doug
and Alison had arranged for us to have a roast dinner for our last evening meal
on the provision that we help with the preparing of this feast. We ended up
having: roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, mashed swede, roast potatoes, roast
vegetables, and gravy. This whole meal was incredibly good as both of us had
been craving this for as long as we could remember. We helped ourselves to
seconds and there was still food leftover that we could eat tomorrow!
After food Corrie, Doug and Alison went to walk the dogs
whilst Danny took it easy in the garden before we had our final evening in a
proper house with all its luxuries for one last time before we return home.
