We awoke to a quiet house with none of the usual subtle
sounds coming from downstairs indicating that Douglas and Alison were up and
about. We went downstairs to find the place empty and so guessed that they’d
both gone to church. We then set about sorting a few things out so Danny’s
shoes were put in for a well needed wash (first time for his walking boots
since our travels began!) Then we set about doing some more of the blog before
D & A’s return.
After lunch we were chauffeured over to Alison’s son’s house
where we made use of their swimming pool. The weather was great again and so it
was fab to be able to cool off in the water. The time flew by, chatting and
playing with the kids, and it was soon time for us to get changed and head back
in time for some tea.
The chicken kabobs, steak and rice etc were quickly devoured
and then the evening was used by all to relax some more and catch up with some
of the Olympic highlights.
