Day 199 - Olympics Day! Pimms O’clock

Danny was up slightly earlier than usual today and so left Corrie sleeping as he went to see what Douglas and Alison were up to. The three of them ended up going on a little shopping trip in an attempt to get some supplies for watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics later on. They picked up all the essentials to create Pimms along with a few things for snacks before heading back.

D & A prepared an assortment of snacks and sandwiches etc for us all to pick at as the day went on and then we all sat down in front of the television at 14:00 to watch things kick off. We didn’t realise that the opening ceremony began at 16:00 here and so we sat through Canada’s build up programme first. Basically the rest of the day was spent watching the TV and eating; we got a Chinese takeaway for tea.

We were all impressed with the opening of the games though it was a very laid back day.
