The next few days should be fairly short blog-wise as we’re
both planning to relax and simply enjoy the hospitality of Judy and Paul once
more. We haven’t planned any trips out as we thought we’d use the time to chill
out from our non-stop travelling routine.
We were up early, very early, to check-in for the ferry at
07:00 and appreciated the peaceful 3 ½ hour or so trip back to the north
island.
From Wellington we made the long drive up to Hawera,
stopping only once at an American diner (who knows why when we’ll be seeing
loads of them in a few weeks’ time) for lunch.
We just dumped our things and made ourselves comfortable
before settling down for a lovely roast dinner with Paul and Judy.
Easy Day.
